Engine and Specifications
We’ll start with what’s under the hood. Under the hood we have an 8 cylinder 5.3L engine. (An engine Whitty’z Houston Auto Repair Shop is familiar with and welcomes in it’s servicing.) This engine can crank out about 300 horsepower which might not seem like a lot because now we have Buicks that can give 305 hp. Especially because this SUV is a 2.5 ton beast but this is no 1.6L toy car it can pick up pretty quick when you want it to at the cost of using more gas. It gets about 14 MPG in the city and 18 MPG and has a 30.9 gal. capacity. So in theory on a long road trip, you can travel about 522 miles on a full tank with two gallons left in the reserve. The Chevy Suburban is 18 feet long, 6.5 feet wide and 6.5 feet tall.
Interior Features
The four-door 2004 Chevy Suburban has a standard third-row bench seat, resulting in a maximum occupancy of nine passengers. For goods, the 2004 Suburban 1500 has 131.6 cubic feet of cargo volume.An available tri-zone automatic HVAC system can replace the standard manual system. Customers can also opt for a sunroof and rear entertainment system with rear electronic climate control. This system automatically controls air delivery, fan speed, temperature and recirculating/outside air to provide faster warm-ups and cool-downs.The LT model is truly an upscale vehicle. It has such standard features as the OnStar system, a Bose AM/FM radio with in-dash 6-disc CD changer, leather upholstery, heated front seats, power-adjustable pedals, steering wheel radio controls and a driver information center. The 2004 Chevy Suburban also has a tire pressure monitor, a right front passenger seatbelt reminder, hydroboost brakes, advanced dual-stage airbags, the LATCH child seat system and daytime running lights are also standard. Although the OnStar system costs $17-70 a month depending on the kind of plan. In short, OnStar has kind of features like Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, Hands Free Calling, Remote Link Mobile App, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Roadside Assistance, Remote Services, Vehicle Diagnostics and Turn by Turn Navigation. StabiliTrak is offered with 2004 Chevy Suburban ½-ton models. If the system determines that the vehicle is not responding appropriately to the driver’s steering, StabiliTrak precisely reduces engine torque and applies precise amounts of pressure to the individual front brakes to slow the vehicle and help bring it back to its intended path.
